bookwormy (ish)

since ive been missing in action web-wise, i took it upon myself to use the free time on reading instead.

i read neil gaiman's Stardust, because i wanted to read it before watching the movie. im a sucker for once upon a time movies, fairy tale or not. everyone knows that! and not having watched the booby kirsten dunst's "marie antoinette" is an unmacci-ness to me.

anyway, i read stardust in an average of four hours. nothing to be proud of though, because my fellow bookworms read 300+ pages of intellect in less than two hours (i.e. my sister), and the font for stardust is THRICE THE SIZE of an average 300+. besides, no need for a my franklin while reading it, no deep terms to get me all stupid.

stardust is one of the books i should've read a long long looooong time ago. considering that it's paolo's FAVORITE OF ALL FAVORITES book, since, well, its the only book he's ever read and has the interest of reading anyway (aside from nbs's tropical fishes book), its a really realy easy read. i think i just breezed through it. but dont get me wrong, the book was wonderful. pretty.

IT HAD THE BEST ENDING I COULD EVER WISH FOR!

the movie didn't suck either. and goes my debate on how the star should'nt be tall and __n_-like. she should be as little as i am, with long white shimerry hair. but the girl playing the star acted very star-like, basta, no complains in her acting.

the queeen, she's waaaayyy bigger and skankier in the movie than in my imagination. i even thought she'd be fairy-like pretty. and skinny.

victoria forester is pretty. ive developed yet another girl crush. pretty pretty pretty. ;;) ;;)

    ...

ive been rereading megan mccafferty's sloppy first and second helpings because i finally got the "charmed thirds" book, which is like a year overdue.

i will never get into this franchise books business anymore. it all started with sweet valley series. then junior high (which was the major kilig moment of my life!) then its harry potter, then all the girly girl chic lits. the georgia books, megan mccafferty, shopaholic. now there's the gossip girl, which someone like me is most likey to indulge in.

    BUUUUTT NOOOOOO!!! ANG MAHAL KAYA!!!!!!!

    ...

after backtracking, ive lusted for "charmed thirds" on january 2006. so, its not just a year overdue, its more of A LIFETIME OVERDUE!
